The Next Generation Global Connect (NGGC) India team proudly participated in the 8th Gender Equality Summit (GES) 2025, hosted by the United Nations Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI) on March 18, 2025, at The Taj Mahal, New Delhi. This prestigious summit convened global leaders, policymakers, corporate executives, and change-makers to accelerate progress toward SDG 5 – Gender Equality through strategic partnerships and collaborative actions.
This year’s summit, themed “Pathways to Partnerships and Collaborative Actions – Bringing South Asia Together for SDG 5,” underscored the importance of regional cooperation in addressing gender disparities. By broadening its focus beyond national borders, the event reinforced South Asia’s pivotal role in advancing gender equality. Experts and stakeholders from across the region explored tangible strategies to bridge gender gaps in education, employment, and leadership.
NGGC India’s Active Participation
Representing NGGC India, Krishna Kumar and Nikhil Malgat actively engaged in high-level discussions, gaining insights into the latest gender-focused policies, corporate initiatives, and best practices. Their participation reaffirmed NGGC’s commitment to empowering youth and advocating for inclusive, sustainable development.
A key highlight of the event was Krishna Kumar’s meeting with Mr. Sombai Sharp, the UN Resident Coordinator to India. This interaction paved the way for potential collaborations between NGGC and UN agencies, strengthening our global engagement in advancing gender equality and youth empowerment.

Reaffirming NGGC’s Commitment to Gender Equality
As NGGC continues to expand its impact in sustainability, climate action, education, and youth leadership, participating in such esteemed forums reinforces our dedication to driving meaningful change. We firmly believe that gender equality is not just a goal—it is a fundamental pillar for building a more just and equitable world.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to UN GCNI for organizing this transformative summit and providing a platform where young leaders can contribute to the global gender discourse. NGGC remains steadfast in its mission to foster a more inclusive society, and we look forward to implementing the key insights gained from this summit in our future initiatives.
